The Life of a Leader at Camp Orr

                                                 Canoe Trekkers

The canoe trek crew just before heading out...
leaders, young adults and scouts

It's a tough trek but somebody's got to do it...
because those boys need a leader...or two...

Leaders and sons...

Meanwhile, back at camp...

(would this be considered "bear baiting?")

A leader's tent:  Assistant Scoutmaster-promoted-to-Scoutmaster-for-the-week

All the comforts of home...a fan, bedside table, insect repellant and bacon jerky...
makes one happy, happy, happy leader!!

Some leaders work hard....

Others take pictures of sunflowers and rocks shaped like hearts...

still others "make friends and influence people..."

Leaders take hikes...

Leaders take breaks...

some leaders like to talk...

Hiking back to camp

Leaders are too busy to sit around

Leaders and Scouts

sometimes being a leader isn't all it's cracked up to be...
("no, don't jump, you have too much to live for!")
(besides, you haven't finished training me to do advancements!)

Leaders are entertained by scouts at the end of the day
(and at random moments throughout the day)
