Uh-Oh Moments from the Canoe Trek--Part 2

That moment you notice some "inconvenient" graffiti and laugh because somebody seemed to be having trouble spelling his own true love's name on the rock.

That moment you see two Basses on the beach.

That moment you get all your gear stowed on the canoe (again) and you wonder just exactly where you are going to sit (again)...

That moment Ian doesn't even realize this is his ford.

That moment when you feel like you just want to hit somebody with an oar.

That moment when you wonder where they all went...

and then you figure it out.

This moment...
which is not an uh-oh moment at all but rather a "Thank you, God" moment.

Uh-Oh Moments on the Canoe Trek--Part 1

That moment you wonder whether those two sticks will actually hold up your hammock.

That moment you realize that maybe those two shouldn't have been in the same canoe...

That moment you wake up and realize you must have tossed and turned a bit last night...and aren't you glad you didn't put your shelter any closer to the river.
 

That moment you realize it is either going to be you...or your gear...in that canoe.

That moment you wonder whose oar is floating down the river...
and why...

That moment just before that moment when you finally understand why it is a bad idea to stand up in a canoe.

That moment you feed your can of tuna to a hungry kitty and suddenly you're the "Cat Whisperer."


 

Uh-Oh Moments Canoeing on Buffalo River

That moment you ponder the meaning of the name painted on the canoe.

That moment somebody says, "Okay, I'LL get out and push this time."

That moment you notice the canoe is back sans boys...but you are glad that at least they didn't lose the oars.

That moment you hear this conversation:

"Where's Chandler?!!?"

"Who's Chandler?"

That moment you say, "I can't believe it, I thought I told you guys to stay IN the canoe.     '
